So is it still not working?

Mine went very slow yesterday (Monday) for a few hours but then came back mid-evening working fine now (which fits in with what they told you).

I think the main annoyance I have with them now is that they don't send any information out to their clients anymore, in the past they always sent sms's with full details of outages and short term problems etc this really set them apart from the competition sadly they don't seem to do this now!

Please correct this Multimax.

Ive got through on the customer service line
amazing so theyve put in a triage in othrewords someone who knows nothing and passes messages on to someone or not
Before they would try to diagnose no attempt now though
I asked when I would get contact he said within 3 days AMAZING

My connection also failed (speed dropped to 0.01Mbps) around teatime, had trouble trying to contact them, did manage to raise a 'ticket' and passed a message to them, and normal service was restored some time later - not sure what time, as I went out.

The 'ticket' is still showing as open (unresolved), so I'm not sure whether they still use that system, and I've not seen the Live Support 'online' for some time.

So, everything is back up and running, it's just the communication side that is not what it used to be in my opinion, as I've no idea whether the fault was at my end or whether it was a general outage.

I've been with Multimax for a long time now and the service has generally been good, so I'll leave it at that...

It is beyond me why anyone still subscribes to Multimax.

Perhaps because those (of us) who have had and continue to have excellent service from Multimax don’t tend to go on forums like this to comment/complain.

We had similar problems, similar timescales. Today the WhatsApp support referred me to the support line number, got through first time, was told system was ok but I wasn't at home to check. When I got home there was still no data connection, tried the support number and it kept dropping out. Went back to WhatsApp to say there was a problem with the support line number, to be told it was working fine - sent them a screenshot of the multiple dropped calls log during a three hour period - finally got through two hours later and was basically advised to "turn it off and on again" and it would be working in 15 minutes... It wasn't. Was ready to give up, so took the dogs for a walk and when I got back it was up and running again, around 6.30pm today. We stay with them because when it is working, the service exactly meets our needs - but it's a real frustration dealing with them when it isn't.

I just received a text from them: -

As of yesterday we have performed a major upgrade in our system, if you have any connection issues, please call 05488886629.

Further to yesterday's shenanigans, woke up this morning to no data connection, so guess today will be a groundhog Day...

Any recommendations for an alternative supplier in the lower Catalkoy area ?

Appalling service from MM since May 6th when it went off. 3 engineers visits, changed base station,. replaced receiver - still awful signal which they do agree about but cannot seem to fix it, more than 20 messages on Whatsapp, broken promises of call backs, office/support phone not responding many times, different excuse time after time (base station, general problem in our area, updating system, need longer pole, etc etc). Tried to login on their site to raise a ticket - cannot remember so requested a reset by email. no email received with reset link.

They are probably as fed up with us as we are totally with them. 12 years loyalty to them has now dwindled to the point, since May 6th - before that they had been ok/good - where we are now looking elsewhere.

It's such a shame to see people looking for another ISP due to poor customer service - they used to be such a great company when Kemal was actively running the place.

I don't know whether it's due to staff changes or what...

It is a shame, as they used to be top notch on customer service. I'm one of those who gave up back end of last year. Was rarely getting more than 5Mb when I had the platinum package. Now with another provider with much better speeds, and cheaper. Still get downtime, but get replies whenever I whatsapp them quite quickly. In fairness, my new provider's antenna is in close proximity.

Just done a speedtest.
DOWNLOAD Mbps
40.55
UPLOAD Mbps
36.57
Ping ms 13 57 114

Mm is an absolute nightmare, I have been communicating with one of their really good technicians over the past week or so. So totally fed up now of lack of customer support and constant buffering when i can actually get a connection. Dns has been totally messed up. Dont know if this is correct but have been told, customers are being moved to nethouse.... can't say too much on here of course. Changing provider very soon.
