Eh?

What?

<Joke>

There's a hearing aid specialist in Lefkoşa who stocks all different types, you would need to do a search on the forum to find his details. Marion had good things to say about him.

I would be surprised if Pharmacies did not stock a few types - and might be able to point you in the right direction if they haven't got the particular ones that you want...

If you are desperate, then various members on here (including me!) do use them, and might be able to help out if you're 'stuck', but we'd need to know the details of the batteries that you need - and that really means all of the info on the packaging, including the 'colour code'.

Where are you based Mo. I got mine from Lefkosa.

If that's ok for you I will dig the number out.

We do Keith you were so helpful. Just my luck they are not the correct size, but will keep them for others in same position.

Sorry to go 'off topic', but was interested to see the post by Looseboots. Hi Malcolm, how are you and Anita - still enjoying Panama? Looking forward to your latest update.

Rita - I'll phone you tomorrow. The batteries are quite thick which is why I'm not sure if I'll be able to find any here. Thanks for your offer of help and thank you everyone else who offered advice - much appreciated.

Never mind 'Quite Thick'

What does it say on the packaging? - or even on the battery itself...

The reason I mentioned "quite thick" is because I had an earlier set of hearing aids with thin batteries - the ones in my current aids are twice as thick and came as part of a package. The are Ryovac Size 13.

That was what we needed!

I'm sorry, I don't have any of those, they do seem to be a new type.

If the local Chemists don't have 'em, I would try ringing the guy in Lefkosa - see Looseboots' post

I'm seeing if any of Rita's batteries will fit my hearing aids, Keith, otherwise it's off to Lefkosa. Sorry if I sounded a bit whacko with "thick batteries", we have had a family member at death's door which left me a bit discombobulated, she has since died.

Oh bugger - sorry to hear that

There's usually a reason when people are not 'on top form' - but often, it's just not apparent to the 'casual observer'...

Quite okay, Keith, mind-reading isn't one of the qualities expected on Kibkom - we knew our relative wasn't going to survive, and it was actually a relief when she did pass away as she'd been in a bad way after a stroke. Anyway, the good news is that Rita's batteries fit my hearing aids, she had quite a few packets which gives me time to organise replacements. Again, thanks to everyone who offered their help and advice.
