Just been to a local Pharmacist and was told that the Government has put up all medicines by 30% !

Is it not time that the government stood down and said "We have totally no idea how to run an economy" and let someone else have a go at it?

I think it's not being helped by British holidaymakers buying up all the stock because they can't get them prescribed at home!

What evidence do you have that "British holidaymakers" are buying up all the stock, because they can't get them prescribed at home?

Surely, for critical drugs, a holidaymaker would need to get a prescription from a TRNC doctor. For OTC medicines, many holiday makers may have an immediate need for them although I accept that in a small proportion of cases, holidaymakers or swallows may buy some just to take home. If they can't get medicines prescribed at home on the NHS, then one has to question the real need for them.

I imagine there are more prescription drugs being found in black sacks around the place than a few British tourists take back with them (do other nationalities not use prescription drugs also or is it only Brits who do this?)

I think they've found around 25, it's absolutely shocking.

You need prescriptions to buy drugs in the South, just wonder how many are sold from the North that end up in the South along with the petrol?
