Olive trees

Do you need permission to cut down olive trees, to allow a bungalow ?

you cant actualy cut them down you can dig them up to have replanted either way you need permission from the Forestry Commision

Would the same go for a Carob tree in my own private garden on a private "estate"?

Yes, all old trees need permits
