It's the way they are constructed with no damp barrier or waterproof membrane under the tiles

I wish you luck!, I had 5 people around and different views on what the problem was. Due to the fact it was not my home and costs varied so much we decided to investigate in house first.
After removing the tiles we found the water was coming in via the water tank legs and tracking.

My roof leaked disastrously after the winter, added to with a burst water tank. Murat Baloglu is just finishing the job of stripping off the old tiles (which, can you believe, had been cemented straight onto the concrete roof), cleaning and smoothing the roof surface, coating with bitumen and roofing felt, putting wood slats on, and retiling. Five year guarantee. All for a very reasonable price. I`ve watched them work and, believe me, these guys have worked hard under the July sun. He speaks reasonable English, his number is 0533 843 2850 and I would definitely recommend for anyone who has a roofing job.
