Re: Washing up liquid for ants
Washing up liquid was offered as an alternative to ant powder on another forum.
It seemed to work......................but rain would wash powder away too..................so if you can`t get to the shop to get powder.....it`s a good replacement.

Last year we had a problem with ants so I put a bowl of sugar at the kitchen door mixed with ant powder, got rid of the greedy little sods overnight!

Re: Washing up liquid for ants
Nice one Chris. My mother had a real cheap (of somewhat cruel) method. Just pour boiling water on them. Of course they were outdoors which makes it easier. But it always worked and as Mum never had much money, it worked doubly. Not sure I could live with all the bubbles from Fairy when it rains (if used outdoors).
Now what I want is a cheap recipe for getting rid of cockraoches - the one critter that I cannot tolerate!
