Server problem can anyone help

Hi, can anyone advise me in simple terms ( I am hopeless with technical jargon ). This past week I have been unable to get my emails. A box on the screen comes up to, Please enter your username and password for the following server - Mx1.1freehosting.com. The email address is correct but for the life of me I cannot remember my username as someone had done this for me last year. Anyone able to help it would be very much appreciated.
