Re: disappearing posts
Unfortunately this does happen occasionally.....yes it is frustrating especially if you have spent some time writing a thought out, magnificent piece of work. Internet can be unreliable just at the vital moment.
I have now learnt to copy my words of wisdom. That way if the internet decides to throw me out I have a copy to hand which can then be pasted back.
Annoying but can be overcome.

Re: disappearing posts
Bobbyc........It happens sometimes because someone could be posting exactly the same time as you, had this done to me and learnt the lesson...I always save in "Draft" then look and check everything before submitting.
Go to "Post a reply"
Type in your response
Scroll down to "Save Draft"
It then comes up with a Yes/No
Click on Yes to save to draft
It then says "Draft successfully saved"
You will then be redirected back to the original thread.
Now you want to post your reply after checking it so now go to "Post Reply" again
Scroll down to bottom of page where it says "Load Draft" and click on it
Now you will see the heading of the subject matter so now click on the right-hand box "Load draft"
Your posting has now been load into the reply box
Scroll down to bottom and press "Submit"
You can do all this if you want to start a new post, just put a title to the thread you want to start.
If you post a link and want to check it works you can press "Preview" first and it will come up with all the details and you can click on your link, if it works then just press back button and scroll down and press submit again.
Sorry sounds a bit long winded but once you get used to it, it is quick quick to do. That way no frustration losing posts.

Re: disappearing posts
Soner explained this problem some weeks ago.
It appears that if you are on a page long enough it logs you out, this is something to do with the security setting on the site cyber attacks I think ?
Bloody annoying though when you forget to copy and paste

Hi Dalatokat
Thankyou for going to the trouble to show me the way to save stuff before posting and to you turtle for explaining how posts can be lost, understand the need for security eg hackers etc.
Thanks again guys.
