Relocated successfully to Prague, final posting.
Well it's goodbye to Cyprus after 7 eventful years but it's finally time to move on to pastures new. The court case is over and settled, the villa rented, and everything packed up and shipped off. We arrived last week to our new house, unpacked all 129 boxes and have the drum kits set up and ready to play at the first gig next week, without any of the "illegal entertainers" nonsense that has dogged the music scene over there. Yes the weather is mixed, as much rain as sun here in Prague, but the shops are really good, the entertainment stunning, and the location means we can be in Vienna or Munich or Venice, by car literally in a matter of hours.
I won't be posting here again, personally I believe that when you move on it's not good to hang around and rehash all the old stuffs that contributed to your decision to leave: the people you leave behind are still living their dream, some happy some unhappy, so let them do it. - We who move on have a new life to lead, new friends to make and new forums to contribute to.
If anyone is thinking of a move to central or East Europe and wants to chat about our new life, and how we have found the new country, the residence protocol, driving on the left, the language and the inhabitants, et al....... you can reach us at elkin_tony@yahoo.co.uk.... don't pm as I said this is the last visit to the forum.
All the best to readers of the forum.
