Fabric Warehouse in Famagusta - Accurate Directions

Having struggled to find the fabric warehouse in Famagusta (Gazimagusa), I have drafted a new set of directions, and included a recommendation for a little place for lunch.

Head out on the Lefkosa - Gazimagusa road (D30 dual carriageway), past the Ercan Airport turnoff and on for some distance. You will eventually come to a roundabout on the outskirts of Gazimagusa.
Turn right at the roundabout (2nd exit) signposted to Town Centre - I believe you can also get there by taking the 3rd exit signposted to Larnaca, but I do not know for sure.
Continue till you come to a roundabout with a large monument on it and turn right (3rd exit). Note - the first exit takes you to the old town and the second exit takes you to the Palm Court Hotel - for this, continue to the T Junction and turn right.
After the roundabout, continue for a few hundred metres, past 2 petrol stns on the left, about 200 metres apart, and take the first left approx 50 metres past the second petrol stn; there is a high-rise apartment block on the left just before the junction, and at the junction there is a board on the left with a very faded sign with the EU flag and some writing on it.
You are now on Ziva Golkalk Cad (or similar) with a Sportsworld shop on the left hand side of the road.
Continue down this road (which has several speed bumps) for about 3 Kms. After about 2 Kms there is an old Greek church on the left and immediately after that, fenced off Army land. Continue on to a T Junction.
Turn right at the T Junction and continue for about 50 metres where there is another T Junction.
Turn left at this junction and a few hundred metres ahead you should see the 2 minarets of the Mosque, which will be on the right hand side of the road. As you pass the Mosque, ignore the first road on the right immediately after it (a dead end), and take the next right about 40 Metres away (at the junction you should see a tatty, blue sign which reads ATAOGLU-OSK...).
Proceed for 50 metres then turn left. The warehouse is about 50 metres up on the left. There were no rolls of material outside the warehouse and we actually missed it on the first pass.

The warehouse is an absolute jumble, with rolls of material stacked and piled onto every available inch of ground. It is excellent value however, and the cost of recovering the seats and seat backs for 4 folding chairs (material and making up) was 150 TL. Also bought some towels, bath sheets and bath mats. The owner speaks good English.

We were going to go to a restaurant in the old town for lunch, but found an excellent little kebab house away from the tourist area.
Directions - at the roundabout with the large monument, go straight across, 2nd exit, heading for the Palm Court Hotel. At the T Junction turn left towards the old town (this is the harbour road with the sea on your right). After about 100 metres, on the left, and just before you go through the gate into the old town is Omer' in Yeri (or similar). It is a little place frequented by locals, where we were served the best chicken shish we have had in a long time, on a plate loaded with fresh salad, delicious chips and pitta bread. With a soft drink or bottle of water and a Turkish coffee, the bill was 21 TL per person. Bon Appetit!

Did you think the struggle to find the Fabric Warehouse was worthwhile because we certainly did not! We could hardly get in the door let alone walk round & see what there was it is such an enormous jumble of thousands & thousands of rolls. There may well be potential customers who have been lost for ever in there!!

We visited last month & almost lost the will to live. Was so much to see but could not see any of it clearly. Went away empty handed.

Ozankoys, for us it was worth it, particularly if you are purchasing fabric and having it made up. But I take your point - when I entered the warehouse I nearly turned around straight away to wait in the car. In the end, I am glad we persevered - the owner and son(s) were very helpful.

I went there and as we walked deeper into the building my partner said if there was a fire in here we would die, I looked around and could see no doors or windows and felt claustrophic, just massive rolls of fabric everywhere.
I have only heard good things about the place but I had to get out, won't be going back

Yes we also had a dread of a fire starting or being crushed by rolls of fabric. Did try & look round as there had been so many good reports about the place but impossible to see what they had & kept losing my husband in the maze.
