PC advise required

I have a laptop Acer Aspire 5750 and the volume has gone quiet. I have checked all the setting that I can find related to volume of speakers and all the sliders are set at 100% any advice would be welcome.

SteveC ! If you click on start (bottom left) select My computer and then control panel there will be a section which says Hardware and Sound ! Click on that which should bring up system sound levels ! check that the mater volumes are set to 100% maximum ! regards Barry

Hi Barry, I have already tried this and all setting for sound/ volume are set at 100 %. The sound on Skype is normal so I am confused.

If I remember correctly, there is a "Limited Output" option on the Realtek Audio Manager with the Aspire 5750 (and others in the series). Should come under Speaker Properties, Enhancements perhaps? Had the same problem on my Aspire, but it's been a while.

Problem sorted at last. Took my PC to chip computers and they tried to alter all the setting with no success.
They reloaded Windows and all is now fine. I can recommend them, as this is the fourth time that I have used them
in the last few years.

First question where are Chip computers please
Second I had problems a couple of years ago switching between hDMI to Skype calls coming in when watching TV taking the Skype call
and disconnecting the HDMI sound was wrecked

How to find "CHIP computer".They are in Girne, Coming from the west go to the big roundabout at Lefkosia road and turn left towards the Colony. Take the second road on the left that I believe has a "Beko" white goods shop on the corner. At the small junction with a road verging from the left carry straight on past the schools.The store is a few hundred yards down this road on the right hand side before you reach the car park.
