Requiescat in pace -Val Murphy

With deep sorrow I am announcing that my dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother of 53 years passed away on 31 August 2015 in the Intensive Care Unit at Near East Hospital after a three and a half year courageous battle against lung and then brain cancers and latterly an epileptic seizure.

Val will be laid to rest at 1100 am on Friday 4th September 2015 at Lapta Cemetery.

Friends wishing to pay their last respects to Val will be welcome.

In response to Val's wishes the family requests no flowers; black dress is not obligatory.

Donations may be made to Tulips.

sad news tom.sorry to hear that. was she only 53 years old or were you together for 53 years?
may she be in peace

So very sorry to hear that Val has passed away Tom but hope you can take some comfort in the fact that her suffering is over. Please accept our sincere condolences. May she rest in peace.

Thinking of you and your family at this sad time Tom. Although I only met Val a couple of times I could tell that she was a very special lady. Condolences to you all from Viv, Katy & Family x (next door)

So So Sorry to hear the sad news about Val. She was a lovely lady, very courageous and a true fighter.
Sorry we will not be able to join you tomorrow but will be thinking of you all.
