BA suspend flights from Gatwick to Larnaca

Had a text today to say my flight back to London Gatwick on BA has been cancelled. After phoning
Customer Services I was informed that BA has suspended this route from November, so if you're booked on this route start looking for something else!

Apparently its the Gatwick/Larnaca service that will stop still flying from Heathrow.

Not quite sure where we are on this now. If the Gatwick/Larnaca route from Heathrow is stopping what about the Heathrow/Larnaca route from Gatwick?

The BA Gatwick/Larnaca route will be 'suspended' from November 2015 but the Heathrow/Larnaca route will be operating normally. Passengers on the Gatwick flights are being transfered to the Heathrow flights but if this is not suitable you can cancel and re-book with another airline. I have re-booked with Norwegian Air
