Package to uk?

Has anyone sent a package to the uk and if so by which means ie DHL or by the man with the van. The package is 5kg so any idea of cost.

When we asked at DHL to send a package we were told they don't do packages because of loss insurance, ours was 7 kg.

I have sent items from the South to the UK both via DHL and via Cyprus post (EMS Datapost). Never anything as heavy as 5kg though. DHL in the south are in my expereince very good - stuff can get to and from the UK in around 24-36 hrs, but they are not cheap.

go to a post office in south,send it registered.its safe.takes a while longer but it gets there!
