Tektan
Called into Tektan yesterday, and they are not very happy. The car park across from them has closed and is now building site, guess what they are building. Yes shops. Tektan guy says parking is now a very big problem outside the shop. He said one guy was blocked in for over 4 hours.

Re: Tektan
There seem to be a glut of shops now. Do we really need them all?

Re: Tektan
Then why are they in such a haste to build them all.

Re: Tektan
It could possibly be due, in part, to the prospect of a 'settlement:Kip wrote:Then why are they in such a haste to build them all.
Although the Property issue has not, reportedly, been finalised, I think that some kochan holders of property/land are anticipating that different 'classes' of property will be dealt with differently - a la 'Annan Plan'.
That is, if a piece of land or property has been 'developed' and is in actual use by a current occupier, then that occupier's rights will be given greater weight than if it had been left derelict, or as scrub land - so there is a rush to demonstrate that 'productive use' is being made of the asset.
An example of that is a plot of land near Escape Beach which has been levelled, fenced off, and had signs erected proclaiming it to belong to a car hire company - with no further evidence of actual use...
Of course, I could be entirely wrong!
