Quite agree. I saw two cars earlier completely disregard the chap with the red "dur" sign, just drove round him and came face to face with the traffic coming from the other direction. Arrogant imbeciles.

Also saw it through Alsancak, Totally mental. Sorry to appear rude, but it is only the truth, Most of the locals cant drive at the best of times ,so god knows what makes them think they can drive in a rally type car.

Glad to see they have reduced the driving age here, yesterday I saw a little girl around 3 years old sitting on daddy' s lap in the driving seat steering the Mercedes up the mountain Rd. to Baspinar. How Cute !

Then this morning noticed they had upped the carrying capacity for motor scooters, Mom Dad and two children.

Safe Driving.

I have never been as terrified as this morning coming through A,sancak/Lapta with 4 rally cars. First one was nearly in car with me bumper to bumper after him 3 others. Looking at the forum yesterday, I presumed it was over. Surely roads are closed in other countries when there is a rally, only these stupid b------s could do this. Absolute madness.

Just another day I thought! A few cars with stickers on. Not too much difference.

Becker, I think your reply is flippant. Like the others I too found myself involved this morning with 3 cretinous oiks. It was as we had all accidentally strayed on to a safari rally. At one time I'm sure one of them touched the rear of my car to try and make me get out of the way but there was no where for me to go.

And how many concerned posters here 'phoned the police? Dripping on this forum, without taking action, is pointless.

Flipping heck. Flippant, rarely used word. In appropriate levity, light minded. Sophie,I too was in traffic with said vehicles. From my 10+ years of driving in TRNC, doesn't matter where you drive, every single journey we make there are always tailgaters trying to overtake in bad places. Only difference I could see was loud exhausts with sponsor stickers. "Just another day". Anyone know when next street rally is?

Did phone but could not give car number as probably going well over 110, all I can say they looked like minis passing. I would have loved one to breakdown and then wished I had a baseball bat with me, ruined his f------ car.

It is not the rally that those of us who were involved are commenting on, it is the fact that the rally was well and truly over, Alsancak and Lapta were not part of the route i.e. it was in Girne town. As to getting a registration number, I was busy trying to keep my car on an even keel and keep an eye on a further car that was obviously trying to overtake 5 or 6 cars. I love car rallying and used to live in the Welsh mountains where they were frequently held. Its a great sport, but not for a few obvious pillocks, whilst others like myself are out shopping etc.
