Parcel in (South) Nicosia - who can help?

Unfortunately a parcel from Germany for me went to South Cyprus, according to the tracking service it is at "LEFKOSIA P.P.O. 1902". Does anybody perhaps know where this Parcel Post Office is situated in Nicosia and, as I can not pass over by car, whether it can be reached by bus or so.

The post office is at the top of Ledra Street on the left, this is very near to walk over at Lokmaci ( Spelling ). If you drive over at Metahan you turn left and follow the road all the way to the lights at Pedius bridge, turn left again follow this road to the next roundabout ( Ledra Crossing ) turn right and take the 3rd left round the outside of the wall follow this round through 3 maybe 4 sets of lights the turn left onto the inside of the moat ( old town ) turn first left and the post office is on your left about 600 mtrs. Hope this helps, but I would walk across much easier.

We had the problem with German DHL.
DHL picked up the parcel from our flat in München for delivery in the North. We tracked the parcel to a post office in South Nicosia.
We visited DHL in North Nicosia and was told that they could not help.
We phoned the post office in the south and was told that they could not deliver to the north and we were not allowed to collect it from them.
The parcel arrived back in München 3 months later.

So before you travel south, check that they will release the parcel to you.

Mimi2, have to disagree with that comment, but I can only speak as I find and our DHL experience was good.
We were sent a package on Monday via DHL express and recorded delivery from Lancashire. DHL phoned us on Wednesday evening to arrange delivery the next day. The sender was able to track it all the way here. We were very impressed with the DHL service.

Many thanks to everybody for their valuable assistance in this matter. I have gladly accepted ttoli's kind offer and will go over with him next week.
It is always amazing how many readers of this forum are keen to offer their help. As most readers are apparently from Great Britain it does not surprise me, however. Since, as a German, I settled here nearly thirty years ago, from the first day on I received a lot of help, advice and assistance especially from British expats which made things for me much easier here. Really outstanding!
