Can you get a work permit if over 65

Does anyone know if you can get a work permit if you are 65 or over?

When I enquired about this I was told that you couldn't. This was because the Social Sigorta will not register over 65 retired people (as they see it)....(and I know they seem to retire here at 35, but they are Cypriots!!). Anyway you can't be registered at the work office without being registered for Social Sigorta. The only possibility of an exception is if you have previously had a registered job here and have therefore previously been registered and hence have a social sigorta number. Hope this doesn't confuse you.

Glad you wrote that . I wrote yesterday and it disappeared but it v was what you told me. So much better from the horses mouth.
