Please be careful when out walking your pets. A dog died yesterday after licking poisoned bones which had been left in an open box by the side of waste ground.
The area is ; Up the turning opposite Coban trading (on main Girne - Catalkoy road near Cratos) - then turn right and follow the road past the villas - it was near waste ground just past there.
The dog was a much loved, young, very healthy, big dog who died a very painful death despite receiving vet treatment within 10 mins. It is thought the posion used was Lanate and was a very strong concentrate.
Please be extra careful.

That really p**'s me off - I only thought that disgusting habit of poisoning poor defenseless animals went on here in Egypt. Over here most owners have an antitoxin stored in their fridges to use if your quick enough to save any poor animal.
If I ever caught anyone laying these traps I would make them eat it

Very sad and makes me very angry.
It is also the main reason we did not move to TRNC in 1992.[We would have brought four Golden Retrievers with us].
Seems things haven't changed.
