Who do you trust?
Many opinions I know but assuming the vote for an exit from the EU is not in dispute, who would you trust to do the best deal for th UK?

In the words of Brewster Millions "None of the above"
As I got older I congratulated myself on my tolerance..... Now I realise I just don't give a "ooops"

Assuming its a Tory led negotiation Andrea Leadsom was more impressive and less devisive than Boris in the Debates

Not BORIS,
I am afraid the cupboard is rather bare with regard to experience and ability.
Teresa May is possibly strongest and gets my vote to lead the party too.

Ms. May was for Remain although she did keep a low profile, maybe she was edging her bets

I would like to see negotiators from both the Conservative and Labour parties, although I am beginning to wonder if a Brexit will actually happen given the maelstrom that is being whipped up now in British politics.

Hopefully either Gove or May but a panel from all parties comprising of people who know what they are larking about and have a knowledge of poker. Or a big bat.

My Auntie Jill (Auntie on my fathers side) is very trustworthy, might be worth a look, certainly got as much chance as anyone else's suggestion on this forum!
The wife keeps complaining I never listen to a word she says ............. or something like that.

Re: Who do you trust?
Having watched many political interviews ( sad Iknow) I am just a little concerned about the constant theme of nothing must be rushed. Will the euro remainders hope to eventually turn the tide as people will get bored by the whole thing as they surely will. Just a thought that the need to moved forward carefully could be used in this way.

Liked her to dont think the Tories would let Labour MP lead the negotiations, she should be part of the team though.Groucho wrote:Gisela Stuart.... Trust plus (+) Politician equals (=) Oxymoron. I.e. "a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction"

One of those who led Out campaign. I think Mrs May sat quietly waiting for her chance, she is one person who would not be a fighter, a very weak Home Secretary. Why are people not behind Boris and Gove they were the mouthpieces for "out" and "out" won.

Re: Who do you trust?
I believe Teresa May was an Outer before the campaign got going,.. she retreated to the wings and I saw no campaigning from her at all.
Another lightweight that saved her own skin....no balls so to speak.

At a lunch with friends of mine in Feb she stated Out, but gutless to be her own person, useless.

Re: Who do you trust?
Ms May for me. I believe Boris held a pre nomination meeting today. Apparently Mr Gove turned up with 3 other unknowns. Mr Farage was having lunch with the BNP. My word the political barrel is being scraped.
Ms May could pull a government together I hope. October is rather too late in my view. Given that article 50 ( departure protocol) has not yet been implemented I wonder if some behind closed door negotiations will be on the cards. I hear speculation of remaining in the common market. Now that would be a result if other Union members would swallow it.

Come back Jim Hacker, all is forgiven: !!!!!!!
(For the benefit of younger kibkomers, Jim Hacker was the title character in the TV series Yes Miniser and Yes Prime MInister. Still very relevant today, particularly the take on the reasons for and results of Britains' membersip of the EU/

The only politician you can trust is an honest politician, and the only honest politician is one that once bought, stays bought......

Waz just like to pick up on your throwaway, Farage meeting with BNP. Please confirm your source so that I can check for myself. It will alter my thinking about this man

Theresa May was for Remain but was conspicuous by her absence, maybe she was playing both sides.
