Keith, do not say "eu tells.... "
Say the eu reminded the uk...
The four freedoms apply for every country and also the uk do-did back them.
I can understand that the uk and its government tries to get the best deal... Incl maybe the attempt to disband the whole of the eu to the uks advantage.... But also understandable is that the remaining 27 eu memberstates will do everything to resist that.
Meaning, no prelimanary negotiations , no "exit ala carte" and so on.
Promises of the leave campainng are falling like the leaves from a tree in autumn and the uk is in turnmoil, eg, violence against foreigners is on the rise, 57% within the last days.
Where all this will end?

What I did was to copy and paste a News Media report, verbatim, as a Title, and as the first phrase of my post.kibsolar1999 wrote:Keith, do not say "eu tells.... " ...
I should point out that in my short comment, I neither agree or disagree...
The report was from the (South) Cyprus Mail, in case no one noticed.

I think Keith put up his post with a view to stimulating debate.
As always there are two sides or possibly more to the argument!
At least there was some back up information to his post which can only be useful.

The political census is" The UK needs the single market" Boris Johnson has said it also now that he has backed down from his earlier position.
To retain access the EU has made it clear. " Free movement of labour"
Who now either supports or does not support a negotiation for this.?
I think there will be some back room talks before article 50 is submitted.
Most BREXIT voters will simply not be bothered or possibly understand the intricate detail.
Mederators: Why please are racist posters as seen in post no 6 final paragraph being blatantly ignored ?

waz-24-7,
As has been explained many times, moderators are volunteers, they are not permanently on line all the time as they do have other jobs and activities. When moderators are on line, it takes time to wade thro the posts, place in the correct forum and also moderate postings. Inevitably there may well be posts on the board that have yet to be seen by a moderator. Also on occasions it is possible none of the moderators will pick up on a post or topic which may be against forum rules.
However; if any member finds a post which they deem to be offensive, the quickest way to ensure that it is looked at is to report the post and/or send either a pm or email to a moderator. By reporting a post, it is highlighted on the forum and is easily seen by a moderator. The report is also sent to the moderators.
Commenting on the forum about a post which you believe is against forum rules may take time to be seen.
So report the post plus email or send a pm.
Thanks

Fair comment.
However,These posters (pictures) have appeared time and time again and racist overtones are clear, offensive and libelous.
To be in the public domain and not moderated is accessory to libel.

Re: EU tells UK single market access requires full free move
If anyone deems a post to be against the forum rules they can assist the moderators by sending in a report and also by sending a pm or email.
In this instance no reports, emails or pm's were received.
The moderators are volunteers and moderate as best they can. In the last week the number of posts on the forum have increased dramatically placing great demand on moderators time.
Sometimes repeat offenders may be warned, banned or have their posts moderated for approval.

UK sets out its position EU does the same, sounds like the start of a negotiation time will tell.waz-24-7 wrote:The political census is" The UK needs the single market" Boris Johnson has said it also now that he has backed down from his earlier position.

Re: EU tells UK single market access requires full free move
I do hope so Kerry.
The EU are on front foot now and appear to be taking the hard line regarding submission of article 50 prior to formal negotiations.
The UK has up to 2 yrs to comply but new UK PM will hopefully soon have a strategy.
Don't think anyone has one right now.
Shock after shock is the order of every day since a week ago.
