yesterday noises

yesterday morning there were some very loud noises like thunder to the north of the island anybody know what it was do not say thunder as there was not a cloud in sight

I heard it too. I tried to video the sound but kept missing it
Not a cloud in the sky but very thunderous sound. Did wonder if there were any army manovers?
I would be interested to know if anyone has any insight into it.

It happens every year and there is a military aircraft that flies up and down the coast. I am told that it is in aid of range finding for the gun emplacements. They are firing blanks I'm told, someone may know different, however that is how it was explained to me.

How about the fact it was Anzac day yesterday?

That makes sense. It sounded like gunfire to me.

Sounded like field artillery quite heavy stuff and large salvos.

Lots of machine gunfire and artillery going off near Esentepe this morning.
There are boats and ships out at sea, too far away to make out what they are.
Hope they're shooting at targets
