Cockroaches - Confused!

I live in Catalkoy. The men from the Beli came a couple of days ago to 'do' the cockroaches. I asked where the pump up spray was, and he said, "No spray - gas", and showed me a small syringe about 4 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. He lifted the drain covers and proceeded to put about 6 tiny drops on the inside of each drain. Has anyone else had this treatment, and is it a new formula for eradicating cockroaches?

Maybe they are trying to get them addicted to crystal meth so they stop bothering people

Funny that, the did the same thing to my drains in Catalkoy this week - never had cockroaches before they came but I have got them now!!! Maybe they have just abandoned the house next door as the guy who lives there is rarely at home and his drainage system must have dried out in this heat. Who knows, for sure I don't but I am getting good at catching cockroaches with my brush, they don't wander far after the first encounter!!!

Some years ago I purchased (fromUK) a gadget which sent an electrical impulse through the house walls . It said it was guaranteed to deter mice and MIGHT be effective for insects. The mice took not a blind (three blind mice!) bit of notice! But I have not seen a cockroach since so I left the gadget plugged in. This year I have had four cockroaches but all have been lying on their backs, dead! I am now just as confused as the cockroaches in the title to this thread. AND I still have mice!

Got two of them - don't work on insectes either!!! Best thing for mice is a cat - can't have that or the dogs will eat it. Strange that one of my dog's is a rat catcher but is not interested in mice at all. All the cockroaches I have had this year have been lying on their backs, dead - eventually - lol.

Mmm I know the feeling - I have three dogs, two of which should catch rodents but they ignore the mice and chase cats away! As for the "humane" sticky mouse traps , have you ever tried to remove the glue from the coat of a Cyprus Terrier.?

Back to cockroaches the best thing for them used to be moth balls in the plug holes. Unfortunately none of the Supermarkets I visit sell them any more - I suspect another silly EU Regulation
