Attempted Break Ins

Folks, news circulating today is that there have been attempted break-ins in the Lapta area. Last month there was also a few in Alsancak.

Please try to be vigilant when it comes to your property, try not to tell the world everywhere you are and hence that your house is empty. Facebook is great but can also be dangerous if you post everything so be careful about what you are posting. I recently did a check-in at a restaurant and was advised by one customer that everyone now knows that my house was empty for at least the next few hours. Its absolutely true, we share too much info with people we dont know very well so do be careful.

Also make sure you have adequate house insurance in place and please also remember that Insurance does not cover certain things like valuables, jewellery, money, etc so be extra careful with these things.
