The list of countries where scam artists and mafia take the pi55 and nobody in authority seems able or willing to tackle the problem and provide justice for buyers beggars belief...

Wow, an interesting read & at least you'd think they were lucky in that a UK registered firm of solicitors were involved until it came to the insurers.......

Over the years the Courts of the EU have dismissed such cases hiding behind the statement "ownership of land and housing are domestic matters for each individual country" Similarly, the countries where these scams are rife, have not had it held against them when allegedly meeting the criteria for membership of the EU. Makes me wonder if the EU are getting "kickbacks" causing blind eyes to be turned ? It has not stopped them poking their noses in when it comes to land and border issues Gibraltar and Ireland now that there has been support for BREXIT. When I queried how are TRNC solicitors able to undertake financial expenditure of monies in client accounts without the express authority of the clients involved (foreigners), and believe that have no duty of care to their clients whatsoever, plus can trade without any personal liability insurance, their form of law society said "it is not in the rules" and also paying interest on client accounts to clients is strictly forbidden. When I further explored these matters one leading TRNC lawyer told me "we would all love to have liability insurance but we cannot find any insurance business who will have anything to do with us" I got one truthful answer then !
"profound ? A bird can sing with a broken wing, but, one can't pluck feathers off a frog!
