Driving license in advance

My TRNC license expires at the end of October but I need it renewed for the first week in December can I apply before it runs out to make sure I have the new one for December. thanks.

dont think so but when you apply for your renewal they give you a paper that shows you have applied for your new one so if you get stopped you just show that

I have the same problem my licence runs out on 30th December and I am not in TRNC then. I went to the licence office in Girne back in May and asked if I could apply in advance and I was told yes I could. I can apply up to 2 months in advance. I will apply at the beginning of November. I should warn you that I have been told several things at that office which have not been accurate so I will see in November.

Slsgjc and munchy - the tax office next door to the State Hospital.

As you go in the front door, the 'pay ' office is to the left, diagonally across the vestibule.

As you enter the pay office, car tax is immediately on your left, there's a sign taped on the glass, and driving licences are also on the left, just around the corner, again there's a sign.

Oops! - That's right!

It's so long ago that I applied for the first one, that I'd quite forgotten

To save going to Lefkoşa, you can go to the driving school down the road next to Barış Park (the road that leads to the Police Station) and for a small fee, they will make the initial application for you.

If you do elect to go to Lefkoşa to do it yourself, the location has been given on a couple of posts on the forum, so you can find it easily using the search facility at the top of the page - Sorry again!
