Amazon Fire Stick

Just brought out a new Fire Stick from UK but can't seem to watch anything without paying a fee every time to Prime ~ can't even watch the freebies. I have the tv box connected as well, could that be causing a problem? Is there something else I should be aware of / or get it unlocked?

Not being very tech minded would appreciate any guidance.

Thanks

Some questions: -

Is the Fire Stick connected to the same TV as the 'tv box' that you mentioned?
What precisely IS the 'tv box'?
Are there any Apps or Addons on the tv box that you click on, in order to watch tv, and if so, what are they called?
What apps or addons are installed on the Fire Stick?
Which Internet Service Provider (ISP) do you pay for your Internet connection? (It may affect which channels you can access for free, or at least affect the way that you need to go about it).

I have an Amazon Kindle Fire (minus a stick) and can get just about everything free. However EVERYTHING involved with Prime I would have to pay for via Amazon but won't and go without!!

Hi Keith,

Yes fire stick & tv box are on same tv. You need to click on Xtreme Codes to access tv programmes, this was set up for us & we pay a small fee locally every year. Sorry if this is vague info.

Fire stick is new out of the box and haven't had a good look at it yet ~ spent a while flicking around with it but when couldn't access anything without paying to Prime gave up!

We are with Extend.

Thanks Navek will have a look.

Kenzo, given your stated level of proficiency, that sounds like very good advice from scaffman!

I've seen many glowing reports about Yen - he started off doing one for JaneM, and it seems to have developed from there...
