This is too much.................
I queried once before why one advertiser was allowed to repeat his posts in triplicate. Another poster (gues who!) suggested I approach the authorities direct , so when it occurred yet once again, I reported it on the "Reort " button.
Result they have now repeated a post no less than six times!!!!!!!!!!!!! At a time when the board is looking more and more like Exchange and Mart instead of a serious forum.
I know we are always being told how busy the mods are, but it takes only a second to scan down and notice such blatent disregard of the rules of the forum. Once could be a mistake but this obviously is not. .
If the Advertisers concerned are reading this, my own reaction is to make a note to avoid a business with such arrogance and blatant disregard for the rules, or the convenience of customers.
It does make one wonder ........................

I also queried multi posting ads of a single property sale. The poster replied stating it had paid to advertise on the forum and this was confirmed by a mod. I then queried the Mod as to what would happen if every ad was replicated many times - the response was, "let's hope they do not." I gave up with the topic and the 'wet' response I received.

There were multiple posts the other day of items for sale and not a business. I suppose they were moved eventually but it is annoying.

Please note that the moderators are not on the forum 24/7 - this has been advised many times, it does not take a second to scan all the posts - it takes a while longer. I have never seen a moderator respond by saying how busy they are. The response I give is that a moderators are not on the forum 24/7 and may have another job/life. When a moderator is on the forum the majority of the time is spent scanning the posts and putting them in the correct category.Ragged Robin wrote:I queried once before why one advertiser was allowed to repeat his posts in triplicate. If you have a problem with a posting then the best option is to pm or email a moderator direct. Preferably email all the Mods if it is that important. Also if you feel that your pm or email to a moderator has not been actioned or investigated properly then please follow it up and politely request a response. However do remember that it may take a day or so to respond .......as I said we do have lives outside of this forum.
With regards to RR’s specific issue please pm me with what the issue was and I will take it off line with the other moderators and investigate. Please give us time to reply.
Thanks

I am not on the formum 24/7 and I also have a life after Kibcom!!! But I did not even have to scan the page to see the multiple posting. It just immediately hit the eye.
Sorry but I have wasted too much of my (it may surprise you to know) valuable time positng moderators without response to do it again. If using the "Report" button is insufficient to gain attention, why have it? I made it perfectly clear in my post above and in my report what the issue is, it should be totally unnecessary to go overit all again

Re: This is too much.................
Who did you report the original post/issue to? If you confirm the moderator I am happy to discuss with them. In this instance I suspect you sent in a general report which could have been picked up by any moderator. If it was and you were not happy then please pm or email the forum owner direct.
The fact is that the moderators are not on the forum 24/7. I certainly did not receive a pm or email nor did I see any report. If you send in a report; then when a moderator is on line and picks it up, they may action the report or possibly review it and then delete if they thought it did not contravene forum rules.
If you believe a posting/postings is a direct and serious breach of forum rules a direct pm or email (Not a report) to a moderator or all moderators is the best way to highlight a problem. I am usually on the forum every day however other moderators may well have other work commitments.
It is worth remembering that there are companies and organisations who pay to advertise on the forum and without their contribution the forum could not operate.
I am happy to look into this further if you wish.

Re: This is too much.................
I would suggest that one of the mods close this thread .
I wouldn't normally advocate closing a thread but this is ridiculous....for gods sake its a forum for people to use as they wish, if you don't like a thread or multiples thereof then ignore them and move on.
I really do think that some people have way to much time on their hands and have nothing better to moan about .

Re: This is too much.................
Apologies to all. I am in the middle of project managing two major property development projects in the UK: my daughter's first new house and the conversion of mine into three dwellings. Up from 4am and working very late everyday for the past 2 months.
I did see RR's report but thought it not such a major issue that it could wait until I had more time on my hands to deal with it.
Businesses supporting Kibkom by paying for advertising are encouraged to use the forum frequently and do have the right to post multiple threads in appropriate categories.
Please ignore threads that you do not wish to read , or do NOT use View Active or Unread Topics.
Back to work, in hope that I can spend more time in the TRNC from next year.
