I was surprised this Christmas that there were so few references to the festive season: was everyone in the UK, had they deserted KIbcom for Facebook; or where they all just obsessed with buying and sellin}?,

Even more so ,it seems everyone is ignoring the New Year, not much peace and goodwill to men around!

Perhaps it is just that we feel that what with the way things are going in the TRNC plus the dreadful things happening in the rest of the World that that words like Happy and Merry are tempting fate.

So perhaps the usual Turkish New Year greeting may be more appropriate so to all of you ((yes, since it is the season of Goodwill still I do mean everyone)

At least it came the right way round, tears of rain for the old year and glorious sunshine to start the new! I do hope that is an omen.


ps - don't knock the ''Rxchange & Mart' pages (as you aptly put it recently) too severley they do serve a useful purpose for members.

I do not knock it tintang. I agree that it may serve a useful purpose for some (though I havent even heard of most of the items that people seem to think necessary for life ina foreign country!). I just think it takes up too much space in the "latest posts" column and distracts from the more interesting/and/or urgent /and/or important posts. Surely it is the easiest of the categories to recognise and anyone wanting to buy and sell would go there direct. Probably all down to money/influence again, but it would help if at least people would make it clear in the heading what is wanted or offered so those who arent interested need not open the post.
