Is anyone else having issues with the transmission recently? For the past week or so the signal has been dropping in and out every minute or so. It may be that I am further up towards the mountain but I have also noticed it in the car too. BBBOH I know you are an avid listener, have you experienced this?

Having breakup at home in Catalkoy and also in both the charity shops in Girne.
It seems OK first thing in the morning but then ?
I was working at Heartbeat today by the Girne State Hospital and had to switch the radio off about 11.30 am because of the interference.
Same when I got home this afternoon.
Earlier in the week I was thinking it could be because of the weather but do not think so now.
Anyone ?

Could you all have a look at the radio dial and tell me the approximate frequency that you are tuned into please, (I'm over on the West side, so we are on a different transmitter) - there are various 'Bayrak' transmissions from the transmitter at your side...

If your radio only says the station name instead of the frequency, just press the '<' or '>' button to start the tuner 'searching' - that will give you a rough idea of the frequency that you're on, which will be near enough for me to check the transmission/reception conditions.

There are various circumstances which could cause the phenomenon that you are experiencing, but it's pointless hypothesising without more data.

I use the 87.7 (roughly} FM at home in Caralkoy and in both the shops in Girne.
It has only started this week.

Reception was a bit ropey during my journey to Larnaca and back on Wednesday.

Amazingly it was very clear the closer I got to Larnaca!

I'm on the east side of the island, and in recent weeks reception on 87.8 kHz has not been good.
The sound has often been distorted, and at times its been unlistenable. In fact around the house I now tune it in on the computer or wifi radio to hear ot properly, but obviously that's no use in the car!
