Dear Forum bearing in mind with the announcement today relating to Atlasgobal I have made reservation flights with Pegugus as I expect their prices will increase.

However if I decide to cancel has anyone within the forum had any experience with them (Pegagus) cancelling tickets and refunds ?

We had booked a flight for my mother in law who passed away before travlling. We tried to cancel the flight but they refused we tried to change the name but they refused. They did say that my mother in law could change dates but it would appear that they did not understand she was dead. only option was holiday insurance which we did not have. Lost the lot.
As I got older I congratulated myself on my tolerance..... Now I realise I just don't give a "ooops"

Depends on the class that you booked in , If you booked the cheapest class, then they operate a no refund policy, It is possible though to change date of travel with Pegasus , but it would have to be done with the agent who booked the tickets

As with the majority of worldwide airlines, yes it does I'm afraid unless you booked a flexible ticket.

Slightly off topic but still relating to Pegasus. A couple of weeks ago I was doing a crossword and one question was "Turkish Low Cost Economy Airline" Answer.........Pegasus. I don't think so!!!

From ECN? I thought the topic was Pegasus, which does not use any other Cypriot airport than ECN! I could be wrong.

Dear forum, having posted an enquiry about possible flight cancellations I now feel like a right 'lemon' having missed my flight this morning to TRNC ? I had booked a flight to TRNC via their website. As previously mentioned on the forum we always like to fly on a night flight and to get to TRNC in the morning . On the Pegagus webite I booked for 14th April wanting to get to TRNC Sunday morning 15th April. I clicked on flight time of 0.005 not being aware that I had to get to the airport Friday night and not last night !

I have lost £400 flight money and £150 taxi fee . WOW. Lessons learnt

I did pretty much the same, went to collect some friends who told me they were coming to TRNC on Friday and would arrive at 6am. So Friday at 6 am i went to the airport. They were flying Friday night at 11:50 and arriving Saturday!

On the subject of BA I had an issue with BA which involved me paying additional costs, Taxis Hotel etc, Submitted claim and was paid in a few days and received a call from Customer Services.

Had a cancelled flight with PGS took me 12 months to get compensation under cancellation rights.
Was charged 50 dollars for luggage within my 20kgs because it had dive equipment even though it was within my allowance. PGS
Paid for extra legroom seats but in fact got less legroom as the bulkhead is in front. PGS
PGS lost my luggage, not only did I have to go back to the airport to collect I was told that if I did not go the same day they would charge to store overnight. (Turkish Airlines deliver)

24 hour delay due to a fault, CAA tell me I am entitled to compensation, Atlas Global will not even respond, small claims court only option.

I will no longer use Budget airlines, BA have gone through some changes yes, but they are still a great airline and have some of the best cabin staff in the air. Turkish also excellent. Pegasus are a caricature of an airline and tbh Atlas fell in my opinion on a recent flight.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....

I have just booked another flight for the 25th August (same night flight 00.05) gone about exactly the same way via their website as before however this time round my tickets are showing date of 26th August and not 25th August. This now tells me that my previous booking was booked correctly just did not update on the ticket ? I have made a complaint to Pegagus via email and await outcome as this is clearly a computer error

I have today received an email from CAA who have looked at the case for me . They have now advise me to make a claim against Pegagus via County Court Business Centre ( UK base) online which has cost me £35. They will in turn write to Pegagus. I will keep everyone informed of outcome !

desperate: adjective

(of a person or group) having a great need or desire for something.
"I am desperate for a cigarette"
synonyms: in great need of, urgently requiring, craving, in want of

I really don't see how this adjective is a description of Pegasus.

I can think of may words - Rubbish, hopeless, incompetent - that would describe them, and the word desperate (for improved service) might well be applied to their customers, who appear to be fed up to the teeth

Sorry, obviously usurped your prime position. You left out this bit.

I notice you failed to include this bit !

feeling or showing a hopeless sense that a situation is so bad as to be impossible to deal with.
"a desperate sadness enveloped Ruth"
synonyms: despairing, hopeless; More

Precısely!

Those are just the feelıngs whıch Pegasus demonstrably does NOT have - theır customers mıght feel those thıngs but Pegasus themselves seem to be entırely unaware of the situation, and show no inclination to want to change...

I don't understand what you mean by "usurped your prime position" - I thought that this discussion was about Pegasus

Well Keith you said 'DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH' ! Well its been a hard slogg for the past 3 months trying to get a refund of £434 from Pegasus Airlines due to their system error and I am sad to say that I have decided to give up as I am getting no where with it.

I have provided them with written proof and all I am getting from them is the same email response basically informing me that they cannot detect any systematic issues. I have phoned on numerous occasions however the Pegasus rep refuses to pass me over to their supervisor to discuss. I have made enquiries with CAA who have looked into the case for me however because Pegasus are not regulated the CAA have advised me that if I wish to pursue with this I have to go to court ! Its just not worth it for £434.

I am very disappointed with them. I have been using them for a long time. There is basically no customer service. If Turkish airlines were operating from Stansted I would use them now instead of Pegasus . I do not want to travel via South so basically Pegasus have me by the 'SHORT AND CURLIES' !

You should go to the small claims court, Deniz, costs very little and if you are in the right you are certain to win with costs. Chances are they won't defend it and then you send in the bailiffs to their UK office. We might even see you on the telly. Don't give up, it was their mistake not yours. My son recently took the local authority to court because they smashed his car window and just left it. Someone said his alarm had gone off, although it wasn't when they arrived. They were trying to charge him £800. The judge found for my son and said that the local authority can't behave like they are above the law. He got all his costs paid and he defended himself against numerous legal representatives. Stick it to 'em!
