New Property Owner
Hi,
new to the forum so please be gentle...
Have just purchased a resale property in Karsiyaka which will be used as a holiday home until a permanent move on retirement, and looking for recommendations for:
1. Property management (including bill payment) and pool maintenance
2. House and contents insurance
I obviously need to get the utilities transferred to my name - can this be done for me, or does it have to wait until I am next on the island?
Am also thinking of getting the locks changed, is this considered necessary?
sorry for so many questions - don't suppose anyone has put together a 'how to' guide for new owners?

Re: New Property Owner
Living east of Girne I have limited use to your query regarding property maintenance, albeit a number of companies offer such a service.steveodp wrote:Hi,

However, house, contents, car and emergency health insurance cover are all available from a very efficient, knowledgeable and charming agent in Alsancack. Anthony McCartney at azant, 0533 833 0841. We have used him for a number of years. http://www.azantinsurance.com if you are not in the TRNC yet. Good luck with the move(s).

Property Stop estate agents in Alsancak (near Pizza King) are excellent at property management. I can also recommend Dagli Sigorta for home insurance, we have had good service from them.

We are in Karsiyaka too and use Multimax. We've been with them for over 5 years with no major problems and good service if small issues did arise. Congratulations on your new home

Would second Dagli Insurance for all insurances plus Multimax for internet. Have been with them since day one and before that when they were called Aysa Net. They are not 100% perfect but better than any of the others. When they do have a problem is usually out of their control.
