Parasailing

Does anyone know which beaches West of Girne offer parasailing and the approximate cost?

Paragliding is done off the mountains the company has an office in the harbour i think you mean Parasailing.

Thank you I have changed the title of the post. I know nothing about this but have family coming out who may like to parasail!

As all large sandy beaches are turtle nesting sites and this is the turtle nestling season it would be an ecological disaster to parasail.

Escape Beach do this - the beach is already used extensively for Touristic purposes.

I am not aware of it being a turtle nesting site, but would welcome clarification on this...

The turtle project gave up trying to protect Escape Beach along time ago - fight only the battles you can win I guess...

On a more salient (sic) note.... Maiseemoo I would point out that the operators of parasailing/parascending are often not qualified. They have a speedboat and parachute with a long line and there it ends... many injuries ensue and they almost certainly do not have public liability insurance.

Visitor's holiday insurance will also preclude partaking in such extreme sports...

However I can thoroughly recommend paragliding with the team based in the harbour who have an excellent record and are better qualified plus the heights and views are a whole other level of experience.

Can also from experience recommend the paragliding guys, great friendly service picked up from hotel and a great time flying.
