I too did mine in March. Very simple and returned very quickly. My daughter took my application with her to the UK with a covering letter from me in case of any problems, and posted it there for me. It was returned by courier and I was able to track it all the way. Unfortunately the passport office couldn't read the address I had submitted on the form so sent it to an address in Istanbul! The couriers were excellent as they knew the address wasn't Istanbul so they called me get the correct address and it was redirected straight away. Have to do husband's later this year.

It's the only option when you live here. You pay a little extra, ten pounds I think it was.
