Story in the daily mail about the British government investigating the actions of the British troops in Cyprus sixty two years ago.
Who would want to serve their country these days?

Phew! 9 years before I got here, lucky escape - so far!!! Guess they figure it's fairly safe to start wasting money on that as most of them will be long gone by now.

It was interesting that The Good Friday Agreement gave a get out of jail card for terrorists found guilty of murder but the spirit of letting bygones be bygones didn't stretch to the British Army.
