After having had an Alphamega turkey last year which was like an old boot, I am pleased to say that I have a British frozen one from Marks and Spencers from the new Mall of Nicosia. For those interested, they will put you one by and there are a few left

I think you were just unlucky. we had a Turkey from Alphamega, and it was delicious!
We had a good three meals out of it, and the local stray cats enjoyed the leftovers......

Had a frozen one from Erdener, last week. Cooked it yesterday and have to say very impressed. I did inject it with a marinade of butter, chicken stock, garlic salt and black pepper, left it overnight and it was perfect. very tender, not dry and tasteless at all. I think it was produce of Turkey according to the packaging.

Ours is ordered from the Ozanköy butcher - same as last year. Delicious (then) and I’m sure will be again.
It’s only a shame we can’t get our cooked ham which we ordered from Yusuf but c’est la guerre!

Mowgli597, I would definitely have ordered one from Yusuf as it would surely have been the very best, as is all of his produce. It was a bit of a last minute decision to do an early xmas meal, so only had the option of frozen. Never as good as fresh, but nonetheless very tasty with the added flavouring.

The finest Turkeys we have ever had have been from the Pork shop at Alasancak.

I can never find that shop since they moved from next door to Illelli a few years ago.

Hope your M&S one is better than the one we bought last year from the Strovolos branch.

Deniz1, go past Illelli on your left, and its about 30 yards. They are between Illelli and Starlings and tucked in the corner. Plenty of parking outside.
