Best route TRNC to Glasgow
Can anyone advise on the best way to get to Glasgow from here, via Turkey or Larnaca/Paphos, we need to travel in the next week and I'm not sure where to start really.

Don't think that you will get anything from Larnaca to Scotland in the winter, Easyjet do Paphos to Edinburgh, but not Glasgow. Years ago, used to use Pegasus from Stansted to here and back and use Easyjet Stansted to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

I’m in Glasgow at the moment. Flew last Friday with Pegasus from Ercan to Antalya, then with Jet2 to Glasgow. Arrived in Glasgow at 1815hrs. The flight with Jet2 is only available on Fridays at present. Hope this helps.

CairnOmohr.
Can I ask does the Ercan flight land in the sAme terminal that the Jet2 flight leaves from, in Antalya?

Yes it does. It’s an easy transfer but you do have to reclaim your baggage due to two different airlines involved. I am returning via same route but using Thomas Cook to Antalya.

Did you have to purchase a Turkish Visa ?CairnO'mohr wrote:Yes it does. It’s an easy transfer but you do have to reclaim your baggage due to two different airlines involved. I am returning via same route but using Thomas Cook to Antalya.

Thought so, I had looked at Pegasus to Antalya and Thomas Cook to Birmingham but was unsure about the Visa situation.CairnO'mohr wrote:Yes, afraid so.

Re: Best route TRNC to Glasgow
Hi Elizabeth we live in Glasgow and have an apartment in Arapkoy and travel across frequently. We have tried all routes Paphos, larnaca etc and all airlines. The easiest for you is Turkish airlines from Ercan to Edinburgh via Istanbul.
The flight is daily and on a Monday, Wednesday and Sundays the flight leaves Ercan at a good time 08;35. about 90 mins to Istanbul then the Edinburgh flight is at about 11.30am and you are in Edinburgh at 15.15. No visas needed, no transfers needed. Turkish do it all for you. All meals included and 22kg luggage free.
Other days of the week it is an early flight out of Ercan, I think about 530am but please check. It may be a bit more expensive than jet 2 etc but is daily and can be booked in advance via skyscanner more cheaply.
