Size of letters
Is it my eyes but have all the letters got smaller

Have you accidently/unknowingly pressed the control (Ctrl) key and the minus/hyphen key (or Ctrl key and mouse wheel) together? That reduces the size - to make larger, press Ctrl and "plus" key together, or Ctrl key and mouse wheel forward....
