Does anyone know when the new electric bill will come out? I think everyone had a bill at the end of March just before the start of the new tariffs. Thanks

Download the app and pay on your phone. Much easier.

Ours was 463 tl which I think was fair. We had the heating on lots at the start of the month.

I thought you were able to switch to a standard rate after your first bill on the new system. Anybody got any idea on how to do so?

According to the leaflet, you can switch by completing an application form at the regional administration office. You may switch tariffs 3 times a year.

Thanks.

We might just stick to the 3 tier pricing. Try and put the washing machine / dishwasher on first thing in the morning or last thing at evening.

Hoping for the best and setting washing machine and dish washer to go on about 11.30 at night. Will wait and see what happens.

If it was only mine but with customers i like to see the money being handed over! I tried the bank once and people behind me did not appreciate I pay over 30 bills.

Thanks for that Amelia but as we haven't filled in any forms or registered, perhaps it doesn't apply in any case?

On subject of electricity cost. I don't know what we do wrong, if anything, but we have got ours down to 665tl this last month. It was over 1,000tl in the coldest months (and we were still cold) !!

How the hell do you get through that much? We have managed to keep ours down to 244 units this month - are you on builder's electric? We are on Tariff 20. You did not have to sign-up for the new banded system - it is the default, you have to opt out if you don't want it.

We have switched over to energy efficient fridges, air-con and oven. Thinking of solar energy for the pool now, Three PVU to run pump during the day... no need to use batteries as we don't want it to run overnight.

Groucho, we are not on builders electricity and apart from solar panels for use in Summer its the only form of utility in the house, no gas or wood. We have got some new neighbours though and am a bit suspicious lately. !!!!!

Tried to pay my bill today at both Koop Bank and Limassol Bank and they told me
that the Kibtek system is not currently communicating with banks so no payment can be made.

Good job I have until the end of the month to pay

I paid my bill on May 4th at Lapta Kalkinma Kooperatif Ltd,-the lowest I've had in the 2.5 years I've lived here, and just 100 yards from my home. Lucky me!!!
