Does anybody know if it is possible to register a Pre 2008 Sales Contract in retrospect yourself at the Tapu Office and if so is it straightforward? Or if you have had to do this could you share your experience with what is involved.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Registering of Contract
Your best plan is to go into the Tapu & ask the question the staff are very helpful & the girl who actually does the registrations speaks excellent English. Would suggest you go in the afternoon when they are not busy doing transfers to the first counter on the left when you walk in the door.
Before the registration is done you will have to pay stamp duty at the Tax Office I think it will be 1% of the contract value it is 0.5% if the contract is registered in the first month after it is signed which certainly does not apply in your case.

Thank you Ozankoys,
The stamp duty was paid pre 2008, unfortunately we were told that the contract had been registered by the builder, which we now know that wasn't the case.
We will do as you suggest and visit the Tapu office.
