Does anyone know where I can get my offset patio umbrella's winding cord fixed? It's snapped and now the umbrella won't open! Thank you.

We took it to bits and fixed it ourselves!

I'm told that a shop called Aladdins Cave repair them on the Karakum road. I think, but don't know for certain that the place covered in umbrellas in Karaoglanoglu repair them.

Thank you Sophie, took my umbrella with the broken cord to Aladdin's Cave and they are fixing it for about 70tl. The umbrella shop next to China Bazaar in Karaoglanoglu couldn't do it. I appreciate the recommendation as I'd not have thought of taking it over to Aladdin's Cave.

My pleasure Jane M. They have also exchanged or repaired small electrical items at no charge in the past, provided of course it was purchased from them. Didn't have a receipt, they took it on trust and then old man and I chatted over a cup of Turkish coffee. The old established family run firms run rings around the glitzy places that are opening all of the place.
