Akay optics but not the high street, the one on the road that passes the Lefkosa roundabout. They do BRS discount too.

Yes Akay very good and car park at the rear which is helpful. Ask for disc to open gate when you leave.

I don't think that Akay are as good as they used to be. I have recently bought new glasses from Studioline - in the newish parade of shops almost opposite where HSBC used to be. Very happy with the glasses and a good price with a substantial discount

Re: Glasses
Due to personal experience I would recommend it the other way around, i found the larger store very impersonal and when my glasses fell apart after 1 week (2005) their attitude was not pleasant.Panchocat wrote:Akay optics but not the high street, the one on the road that passes the Lefkosa roundabout. Even though the staff have changed they have recognised their own frames when I ask for the lenses to be replaced with my new prescription, the oldest ones I have are a 1992 model for TV watching and the rimless pair I bought when we got married in 1996. My 2005 ones replaced by the High street are my working ones and so far my going out pair have had the lenses replaced 3 times!

Re: Glasses
Just had text from Akay which I think says 50% off new orders, so might be worth quick visit.

Re: Glasses
Paid £500 for a pair from new shop in shopping centre opposite HCSB Bank, last year, went back three times. Not happy. So this year went to shop in Famagusta shopping Mall. Extremely helpful. Had lenses updated, with new design verificocal, and sharper colour change. No return trip, would definitely recommend.
