Re: Electricity bills for October
Mandy and I aren't there at the moment but paid shed loads in advance. Obviously there's no electric being used while we're away, does anyone know would be still get a bill showing usage and credit etc? Does it turn up at the Post Office? Does anyone use the Kib-tek app?

Re: Electricity bills for October
I pay in advance, and having given an email address when first registering, get a bill (showing charges and credit) every month. While no electric used while away, there is still the standing charge (currently ~0.58 TL per day) and the street lighting portion (varying through the year). Whether paper bills are still in existence, I don't know, while I understand that they can be received by SMS/text message to your phone.MnM wrote:Mandy and I aren't there at the moment but paid shed loads in advance. When you use the app it sends a code to your mobile which you enter to access your account.
Who ever wrote the programming for the app should be promoted to the immigration dept.

I downloaded the app but couldn't get it to work, do you have to register with kibtek to use it? I get emails and texts from them every month so am registered, in some way, with them.kerry 6138 wrote:I use the kib-tek app shows your latest and historical bills you can pay invoice amount or chosen sum.MnM wrote:Mandy and I aren't there at the moment but paid shed loads in advance. Re: Electricity bills for October
You need to enter the long ref number for your account(14 or so numbers?) Tuketci number / Consumer numberand your phone number that you receive your monthly bills on the first time you use the app.

Thanks tried that and computer says 'no'. Tried every format of telephone number but it just comes up incorrect telephone number / consumer number. Used the 14 digit one, as per bill.

From the Kibtek website -
"Online Transactions and Payments enabled
In order to provide better service to our subscribers, our Institution has provided applications where you can perform information review and payment transactions through our Mobile application and Web Page.
KIBTEK Mobile, our application in Turkish and English PLAY STORE and you can install via APP STORE. With the application you will install, Subscriber Information, Periodic Payment Information, Periodic Invoice Information, Counter Information and additionally you can make your payment transactions without calling our counter.
In order to use our KIBTEK Mobile Application, you must have your ID Card and Mobile phone number registered in your Subscriber information. If your Identity Number is missing and your Mobile phone number is registered, you can use your 14 character Subscriber number as your Identity Number. (SubscriberID: 01xxxxxxxxxxxx, 02xxxxxxxxxxxx, 03xxxxxxxxxxxx, 04xxxxxxxxxxxx, 05xxxxxxxxxxxx).
You can perform the same transactions through our http://www.kibtek.com page.
You may send your questions to call.center@kibtek.com in case of any incomprehensibility and / or problem regarding the applications. You can also get help by calling our call center 0392 6000960 ."
I suspect that your "ID Card" could be replaced by your passport number, but at the same time it states "If your Identity Number is missing".....
Don't know whether this will help....

Re: Electricity bills for October
I had to phone Kibtek to get the app working for me. From memory it's the passport number you used when you first registered with Kibtek, but am sure you enter PAS before this number, and then your telephone number, registered with Kibtek.

Re: Electricity bills for October
For me, it was the passport number prefixed with GBR
And I sorted it online using The Facebook messenger option from the Kibtek Facebook page.
I also registered my local Telsim mobile number as the foreign one we initially registered never received the SMS with the one-time PIN in it. This was a German mobile number.
You need to click on the Turkish flag (top left) on the App to get to the English version, this also allows you to enter your passport number (prefixed with GBR in my case) rather than the Kimlik number.
Good luck

Re: Electricity bills for October
Think I'll just have to contact them... Now on my 3rd UK passport since arriving here - tried every combination prefixing with PAS and GBR and with no prefix. Tried using the 14 digit customer number from the bill. So maybe it doesn't like the phone number to which they send a summary of the bill by text every month, I take it the mobile should be entered as the 11 digit number with no spaces, e.g 05331234567? Such fun!

Re: Electricity bills for October
Kibtek gave me my old passport number when I called them and told me to enter it preceding the numbers with PAS, obviously others have been told GBR. Phone number is entered as you have said with no spaces.come_on_aylin wrote:Think I'll just have to contact them...
