Wizz Air (Swizz Air)

I thought I'd checked in online with Wizz Air and was allocated seat 38A only to discover at the check in desk I had NOT Checked In. Swizz Air charged me 35 Euros to check in at their desk. I argued of course but to no avail. OK let me check in online on my mobile then I said. You can't because online check in is now closed I was told

On my return trip it took my niece who studied computing at uni almost half an hour to negotiate the Swizz Air web site and check me in.

Is this a deliberate obstacle course used by Swizz Air to generate income or am I being too cynical?

My experience with Wizz has been good when booking I've paid for specific seating
10A etc completed the booking then a couple of days before flying checked in

Easy Jet Ryan Air the same procedure unless I let them choose the seat then a few weeks before flying check in and they allocate the seat

Flown with Wizz Air a couple of times. Have to agree that I also found the booking process confusing and also the check in problematic. On arrival at the airport I wasn’t sure what queue to join as I couldn’t understand from my paperwork/booking if I could go in the fast track queue or the normal queue. Not a bad airline but certainly there website isn’t the easiest.

Try Turkish Airlines online booking, that's even more bizarre!

Flown with Wizz many times over the past few years and no problems at all. Actually once, and to be fair it wasn't the airline's fault, when our selected and paid for rear seats 39A and 39B had to be given up for a 127 year old lady that was bent over double and couldn't see, hear or walk, (i don't even know if she was breathing actually), thus requiring special assistance - i wondered how on earth without the aid of a patient handling hoist she managed to get over to the window seat in the first place.

It is pretty unusual for her to be travelling alone. Normally she would have her parents with her
