Another Dumped Puppy
Yesterday while walking our 3 dogs near our home in the hills west of Malatya, came across yet another dumped puppy. Why, O why do these heartless B*****DS do these wicked acts. If they must do it, why dump them way up in the hills where they might NOT be found. Left alone with no food, no water or shelter to possibly die a slow death. What had he done to deserve such a cruel act other than being an unwanted puppy. He’s home with us now for the moment over the weekend. We will then hopefully find him somewhere safe for him to go. We have our local government quota of rescue dogs (3) along with 2 cats so unable to keep him. If you can help please contact me either on this post or PM.

Most of my friends are well above the so called, cruel instructions regarding 3 dogs. When the Alsancak Belediye build the Government Instructed dog pound, then people might, just might, stick to just 3 of their own.

Many thanks for your response, but we feel we have done, and are doing our bit for these poor abandoned puppies with 3 rescue dogs and 2 cats of our own. And in the past have managed to home 2 other pumped puppies with very good people.sophie wrote:Most of my friends are well above the so called, cruel instructions regarding 3 dogs. Not having much success in rehoming this latest dumped puppy. Have contacted KAR, but told understandingly that there was no room at the inn. We have now taken him to our vets to have him checked out. While there he was wormed and had his first injection, and given a clean bill of health.

Re: Another Dumped Puppy
dap2410, I thank you for doing your best, as are myself and many, many others in the Alsancak area. If you go into pay a bill at the Belediye and look at large picture on the wall, you will see where they are supposedly going to build their dog pound. I'm not sure, but I think it is No. 14 in order of priority. Sadly, and a lot of people find it difficult to accept, KAR is chocker and thus many of us take on more than the so called allowed (only three). Its total nonsense and we take on more than we can afford to keep in many cases and make the necessary sacrifices. Thanks for taking on your three plus cats and I do hope you are able to find a home for the poor little soul. Like all pups he looks a little sweetie.

Re: Another Dumped Puppy
We have now FOSTERED this puppy now for three weeks since we found him dumped high up in the hills around our property. Where he would have probably have died.
I see that my original post (23rd Feb) asking if someone would give him a home has been seen/read over 600 times. But sadly there have been no takers. He has had his vaccinations and is due for another visit to the vets for a further vaccination in a week or two. After that we will foster him for a further month, by then he should be able and big enough to fend for himself back on the streets. We, like so many others out there that have read my post and I add KAR to that number; do not want another dog to add to the number of rescue dogs we already have.

Sadly, there are many of us who have disobeyed the Belediye rules and regulations rather than see these pups wandering around waiting for death. Myself and a number of my friends as well. We find the cost of bringing them up with food and vets bills etc., etc. mind blowing, but still we do it, as well as not going away on holidays for years on end as we could never afford the Boarding Fees.

So agree with everything you said in your post. In particular what you say about holidays, and trips back home to see family.sophie wrote:Sadly, there are many of us who have disobeyed the Belediye rules and regulations rather than see these pups wandering around waiting for death.
