Re: Pool chlorine.
importers, wholesalers, distributors and pool cleaning companies should all have stocks, and as far as I understand the situation, they should still be working...

Re: Pool chlorine.
Another thought - if he can't locate any 'pool' chlorine, he could use normal domestic bleach - sodium hypochlorite.
The aim will be to achieve between 1 > 3 parts per million of chlorine, so he would need to check the concentration on the bottles, and do the arithmetic, with a final adjustment checked by a pool test kit.
Obviously, the domestic bleach will not contain any stabilizer, but there should already be enough in the pool as it does not degrade.

It's my understanding that pool companies can get permission to sell chlorine, attend owners pools treat with chlorine or drain the pools. Worth ringing around a few pool companies! Stay safe people!

Re: Pool chlorine.
Is this calculation correct?
My bleach is 20% hypochlorous acid. By weight chlorine is 68% of HOCL.
1 litre of bleach would give 135 tonnes of water a chlorine dose of 1/1000,000 approx-ish.
Work out what you need from there.
