Catalkoy - Garden Waste
Try as I might I can not make sense of the restrictions regarding garden waste within Catalkoy. The FB page for the Belli says that you should keep all your garden waste within your garden, however that is now becoming a problem and could easily lead to snake/rat infestation! I do understand that we are not to put garden waste outside the property - I think it means on the pavements or roads - but we have access to a communal waste site just across the road from us where the majority of houses have always dumped their garden waste for the Belli to pick up.
The question is simple - can the communal site still be used or not? I also note that "Penal" action will be taken against offenders who dump garden rubbish outside their property!!!!
This morning I noticed that a lot of the communal sites are being used but don't wish to offen or break the law so thought I would ask if anyone actually knows! I have tried phoning the Belli but have so far met with the "No speaky English" problem.

Nope. It is a “Not going to speak English today because my coffe is getting cold” problem, it follows straight on with the “I can’t understand your Turkish problem” which of course is similar to the “Why has the price doubled in the last ten seconds since Ali bought this exact same item” occasional problem! All of these problems are solved with the sight of a fat wallet walking out the door! But, I do get your point and can use my own “Selective language” switch at times - lol!

Also looking across from our house neighbours have not either, generally municipality workerswaddo wrote: ↑Mon 20 Apr 2020 10:18 amI do understand that we are not to put garden waste outside the property - I think it means on the pavements or roads - but we have access to a communal waste site just across the road from us where the majority of houses have always dumped their garden waste for the Belli to pick up.

Not a Facebook "User" either and as it seems like everyone else in the World likes to share their most intimate details of the themselves or just complain and argue with each other across the wire I doubt I ever will be. However, if you want information - be careful just how much you beleive - then Facebook sites are full of it. Just type Catalkoy Belediyesi into your search engine and pick the Home|Facebook link, you don't have to log in or create a user account provided you don't want to post anything at all. There are countless Facebook Public sites out there to drive you insane if you have nothing better to do with your life.
This is from the Catalkoy Belediyesi Face Book:
Çatalköy Municipality

We kindly request that citizens comply with this decision taken by the municipality. Penal sanctions will be imposed within the grounds of legal framework to non-compliant citizens.
Obviously it has not been updated of late!!!

Re: Catalkoy - Garden Waste
So once they are properly open again it probably will be back to normal, I really was dreading storing loads of garden waste in gardens where their owners are in the UK and arrange for them to pick it up. Probably with everyone at home the village was wanting it picked up daily as the amount of garden waste had vastly increased

Your lucky. Lived here in Esentepe for 8 years, never had garden waste collected, or have never been told of any system that involves collection. When asked at beli , as usual don’t know what you are talking about.

Re: Catalkoy - Garden Waste
This mornings attempt at communication was either positive or negative, not sure which! This time address was taken - that stops me putting rubbish out straight away as they will know where it came from - but was told (I think) that my rubbish will be collected from the house. Good idea but will not hold my breath waiting for them to turn up. Meanwhile the mountain grows higher - lol.
