digiturk premiership channel
When I try to get the premiership channel (channel 86) I get a message in Turkish, which I have tried to translate, without much success. Anyone else tried the channel and got the message - and understands what it is saying. It includes some references to Lig 2 and Lig 3, but I cannot translate the whole thing.......even using my Turkish to English dictionary.

Hi mrsgee,
as cyprusishome said this is a special package. I do not pay for this package and have just tried channel 86 but the writing is in english saying you are not authorised to watch this channel.

It says you do not have permission to view this channel you have to call the number on screen and pay.

Re: digiturk premiership channel
Thanks for the replies. We do have permission to watch. The message that is coming up is not the usual one (which does come up in English) which says to phone a number to pay to watch.
This message does not give a number, is all in Turkish and is only coming up on Channel 86 (which as I said, we do pay for). It seems to be referring, for some reason, to Lig 2 and Lig 3, and then a reference to HD quality.
I just thought that someone else who pays for the channel may have the same message, but understand what it is saying. It is quite a long message.

We had an upgrade on Friday that took forever to download maybe it is something to do with that.
Again just clutching at straws have you tried channels 78 and 79 where premiership games are usuall shown.

Re: digiturk premiership channel
My husband is another victim. He is annoyed as he has been watching it daily for months an d months, and as far ashe is aware he has paid for it. Now sudden ly, no access and a message in Turkish , but no explanatyion as to WHY sudden ly we cannot watch it.
If anyone does go into the office, and I can't, please post on here so that we all know. meanwhile myhusband is watchingother channels for the football matches he wants.
He is extremely 'miffed' over this and it sounds as if others are too.

Re: digiturk premiership channel
We experienced the same problem with the premier league channel
After a lengthy wait on the phone finally mannaged to get through to someone English speaking.
Were told to go to the Lig channel. The live match was indeed being shown.
During half time when there is normally a footie discussion the space was filled with adverts in Turkish.
The highlights of the other games now have commentry in Turkish and matches in Istanbul.
Do I understand correctly from cyrusishomes post that the lig channels have always shown the premier games
If that is so then why are we paying an extra subscription for channel 86 that no longer appears to exist.
Would be very interested to hear the explanation Koiboy is given when he visits the office today

Yes, we will be interested too. If the channel no longer exists then we should not be charged for it. We have always had the Lig channels but as you say, they don't have the discussions and the commentary. Will probably end up calling in ourselves at some point, but not today, as we await the gasman.......and as usual they can't give a time, just expect you to wait around all day. Hey ho......

Go to Digiturk web site to see full tv guide - http://www.digiturk.com.tr/tvguide/
Weekend you get a full program of matches 0n channel 78 & 79 on saturday plus all sunday and monday games. eg tonight is Southampton v Everton on 79.
As far as I was aware all of those channels that showed football are bundled in same package but then I do not have them cos I am not interested.

Hi, well hubby just been to Digiturk shop......lots of people must be going in as she knew straight away what he was there for. She explained that channel is no longer available so have to watch on Lig channels.. She said that they had an email from Turkey saying that you could only watch live Premiership in London....???????

Re: digiturk premiership channel
If you watch the LigTV 3 (379) channel then you can select the original language and hear the English commentary... I did it last night and watched the Spurs/Man U game in HD yesterday.

Re: digiturk premiership channel
thanks so much everyone for the excellent info. We are off to pay our annual fee this week, so see what they say to us. One good thing is that with my husband being deaf, the language does not matter, but the frustration of tyring to watch something and then getting a rude message in Turkish ,kinda made him boil!!! As he says 'why suddenly with no warning?
thanks again.
thanks again.

Re: digiturk premiership channel
I presume that someone got peed off that the EPL channel was number one choice for those of us who don't want to be bombarded with adverts while watching live matches. I will miss the repeats, analysis, and later showing of games not shown live. True the live games can still be watched on Lig 2 and Lig 3 but this is a downgrade for footie fans and one that Digiturk may live to regret. I believe it's got nothing to do with legalities and everything to do with penny-pinching and poor customer service.
