not many people have pic to this size, i tried earlier to upload my pic and it failed is there any way when it uplifts it goes through a resizing bit of kit?

Hi , It does resize but like any website it will not except files that are too large. Best reduce image resolution, but if you can not do this then just email tome and I will send back to you resized.

Avatars are restricted to <6kb and 90x90. This is a difficult restriction to apply to colour photos which when reduced to 90x90 with 76dpi usually come out at just over the 6kb limit. Perhaps mine host could up the limit to 10kb? It would make life much easier.

Hi Lez,
As you may well know images slow down the download time of websites, hence the restriction in size. If anybody need help in getting their photo reduced to the best possible size within the 6kb limit, then please email it over to me with your username , it will be uploaded pretty much immediately: info@kibkom.com

Please do not send really small images as they can not be enlarged. Make sure your face will fit in a square, if your face takes up the full area of a portrait photo, then it will be cropped.

Open your picture in Windows Paint (you should have it) and reduce the size to that of the Avatar. And then save it as a different file name so you don't lose the original picture resolution. That is how I did it anyway.

thanks for the tip. i have already done mine, or should I say that soner has, but maybe this will help others who like me felt they were failures!
it is great that people are putting on pictures, it makes them real somehow.
