From the worldometer turkey have 11643 active cases. Lgc news state 5 new cases in the last 24 hours from 1142 passengers. If we used this small samle roundng turkish population to. 84. Million. That would mean turkey has c3670000 active cases. Its probably somewhere between the two figures but testing per capita in turkey is. Low compared to say the usa.

Yes, and all the locals here appear to think it’s all over. Went to three yapi markets last week and none of the staff in any of them were wearing masks apart from a few wearing chin protectors. Lemar in karaoglaglou no longer checking temperature or enforcing the rules. I believe the total of the new cases is now over 20.

Just to add that i think the authorities acted really well before and unfortunately are now between rock and a hard place. I have no idea how accurate the test is being used but it seems inevitable infected individuals will arrive undetected if not already Here . I dont believe im scaremongering here just being realistic. Exactly what happens in the next outbreak here will be interesting .

Is there any record of where the people who are positive started out from? Has anyone from the UK arrived and tested positive.
